Llandogo Riverside
Site Owner: Private Landowners
This is a former quayside and possibly a site where Wordsworth wrote his famous poem, ‘a few lines above Tintern Abbey’.
The Cleddon stream was once used to generate power for woodworking with a millpond near the bottom of the valley. The whole Wye Valley was once a hive of industry with Llandogo selling chair parts to High Wycombe and also millstones across the country.
