Angidy Valley

This valley represents a series of post-Medieval early industrial iron and wire works above Tintern which were spread along the Angidy river tributary to the river Wye.
The Angidy Valley was chosen as the location for a new ironworks due to the availability of water power, charcoal (from the surrounding woodland) and local iron ore.
